During the year, as a friend, you will receive news from the Foundation; invitations to significant events / celebrations. You will also have the opportunity to host a Friends get together on the school grounds, and we always welcome you our Alumni and Friends to visit the school.
Keep an eye out for upcoming events on the website or through Alumni/Friends of Wellesley communications. Not currently receiving Friends communications, please contact the Friends of Wellesley to be added to the mailing list. If you have not received any communication regarding the Back to School day and would like to attend please contact the Foundation office for further details and to RSVP.
Please keep in touch with us, via email alumni@wellesley.school.nz with your news updates, achievements and any other relevant information. We’d love to hear from you.
We want to provide all our Alumni and Friends of Wellesley the opportunity to remain connected with the school. For those not currently receiving our Friends of Wellesley communications including your access to At the Bay annual magazine, please advise us here.
It was lovely to be able to gather again and welcome our Wellesley family to an informal evening of drinks and canapes at the lovely Wellington Club. The legendary Mr G was the MC, with old boy Christopher Tubbs (at Wellesley 1976 – 1984) as our guest speaker, a group of former staff, old boys and current Wellesley families were treated to a fabulous evening where they got to reconnect, hear about the wonderful scholarship programme at Wellesley, celebrate the Foundation’s achievements and enjoy beverages.
It was lovely to reconnect with Wellington region based alumni for drinks at the Honey Badger on the 5th August 2020. Pictured here are some of our old boy attendees – Chris Blundell, Peter Chrisp (both Class of 1999), Robert Cross (Business Manager Wellesley, and former parent), Cam Mexted (Class of 1999) and Ben Shaw (Class of 1986). We look forward to hosting another alumni gathering soon.
The annual event called ‘Back to School’ is legendary: This is where our College-age Old Boys are treated to a day of re-connection at their old school.
View our recent events here: Back to school Days 2022, 2021, 2018, and 2017.
Keep an eye on our website for the next Back to School Day

A great opportunity for you to catch up with other Wellesley friends is the Opening Night of the biennial ARTBOURNE exhibition & sales whilst supporting the Foundation’s scholarship campaign and celebrating artistic endeavour. ARTBOURNE 2022 will also showcase several Old Boy artists, and some wonderful local artists.
