WHY WELLESLEY

A school designed for boys to thrive

Wellesley combines purposeful learning, strong relationships and an extraordinary setting to give boys the foundations, confidence and opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.

Learning that goes further

Wellesley combines strong academic foundations with opportunities to question, create, experiment and discover. Core classroom learning is complemented by specialist teaching and a breadth of experiences that help boys develop new strengths, follow their interests and apply what they learn in meaningful ways.

Known as an individual

Every boy brings different strengths, interests and challenges to school. Small classes and strong relationships give teachers the opportunity to understand the boy in front of them – when he needs encouragement, when he is ready to be stretched and when he may need additional support. That understanding helps boys grow in confidence and independence while feeling secure in who they are.

Room to explore and grow

Wellesley’s setting between native bush and the harbour gives boys space to move, explore and experience learning in different ways. Classrooms and specialist spaces sit alongside playing fields, bush and foreshore, creating opportunities to take learning beyond four walls and build confidence through doing, discovering and trying something new.
